How do I qualify for the Velocity Yield?
The Velocity Yield is designed to reward Kinesis users for adding to the transactional velocity of the Kinesis Monetary System by using gold and silver as money. You can do so by either buying, selling or trading Kinesis gold (KAU) and Kinesis silver (KAG) on the Kinesis platform (this includes KAU and KAG coins that you have minted) or spending it via Kinesis card.

How is my Velocity Yield calculated?
The Velocity Yield is calculated from the total transaction fees, for any given month, that are accumulated from all system participants.
The specific transaction fees that are included to build up that total are:
- All KAU and KAG Kinesis card transactions (0.22%),
- All buying and selling of KAU and KAG pairs at the Kinesis Exchange (0.22%), including newly minted Kinesis coins,
- All buying and selling of KAU and KAG with BUY or SELL widget on the Kinesis dashboard (0.22%).
All these fees sum up to create the Master fee pool, 10%* of this total is then paid to the Kinesis users as the Velocity Yield.
*5% between the 4th of April 2019 and the 31st of October 2021 and 10% afterwards.

Can I earn both the Velocity and the Minter’s Yield for the same activity?
Yes. You will receive both the Velocity Yield and the Minter’s Yield for minting KAU and KAG (creating new Kinesis gold and silver currencies) and then subsequently activating your minted KAU and KAG coins by selling them on the Kinesis platform.
What is the Velocity Yield paid in?
You will receive a yield in gold on all qualifying Kinesis gold (KAU) you transact, by either sending, spending or minting and activating it.
Similarly, you will receive a yield in silver on all qualifying Kinesis silver (KAG) you transact by either sending, spending or minting and activating it.
Do I receive the Velocity Yield on all assets I transact?
You will receive your Velocity Yield on your Kinesis gold (KAU) and Kinesis silver (KAG) transactions only, including KAU and KAG pairs on the Kinesis Exchange.
