KVTs now tradable on the Kinesis platform

In a significant milestone for Kinesis, the Kinesis Velocity Token (KVT) is now tradable on the Kinesis platform.

At the core of Kinesis’ native asset suite, the KVT entitles holders access to a 20% proportionate share of global transaction fee revenue, paid monthly in gold (KAU) and silver (KAG) via the KVT Yield.

Kinesis users across the globe, including the US, can now buy and sell KVT across four trading pairs, including Kinesis’ native USD-backed stablecoin, Currency One USD (USD1):

  • KVT/USD
  • KVT/USD1
  • KVT/KAU
  • KVT/KAG

KVT trading is initially available via the web platform, with in-app trading to follow in the coming weeks.

This follows a record KVT Yield monthly payout, with $2,287,222 worth of gold and silver – 21.48kg of gold and 446.76 oz of silver – distributed to KVT holders in the month of May alone. Last month, each KVT holder received $7.70 per KVT, paid in gold and silver. The May payout builds on two strong, consecutive months for KVT Yields with holders receiving $3.20 per KVT in March and $4.20 per KVT in April.

With KVT now actively trading, the price of the asset will be determined by the open market, as users buy and sell KVTs.

This represents another crucial stone laid in the foundations of the Kinesis Monetary System (KMS). The trading of the KVT itself is set to become a driver of transactional volume, contributing to yields for all Kinesis users.

Kinesis does not provide financial or investment advice. The KVT Yield and price is subject to market fluctuations, and the performance described is historical and not guaranteed. For complete terms and conditions, please refer to this link.

What is the KVT?

The Kinesis Velocity Token enables users to effectively own a stake in the growth of the Kinesis Monetary System. With the largest fee-share of all Kinesis yields, the KVT Yield entitles holders to a 20% proportionate share of all transaction fees, paid in gold and silver.

KVT is limited to a maximum supply of 300,000 units, a legally and technically capped number that cannot be increased. This structural limit, creating a finite supply, preserves each KVT’s proportionate share of the system’s distribution pool. As the transactional volume grows, so too does the yield.

The KVT on Stellar

In preparation for today’s launch, the Kinesis Velocity Token was migrated to the Stellar network in Q1, delivering speed, value, transferability and divisibility to the asset.

The KVT’s divisibility allows users to acquire smaller amounts, building positions incrementally, or sell fractions of their holdings. Importantly, KVT holders will still receive the monthly KVT Yield on even a fraction of a KVT held. This flexibility supports broader participation, enhances liquidity, and enables entry at any scale.

Additionally, transactions are near-instantly and at low cost, making the asset easier to manage and more widely accessible. The move to Stellar positioned KVT for long-term scalability, optimising the asset for increased adoption and future functionality across the Kinesis ecosystem.

The impact of Kinesis’ expansion on the KVT

As the Kinesis ecosystem expands, so does the diversity and scale of transactional activity contributing to the KVT’s value. Behind the scenes, Kinesis is moving into broader markets including the Stablecoin, Real-World Asset (RWA) and institutional spaces. These developments are progressing quickly, and Kinesis looks forward to sharing in future successes with the community, particularly with KVT holders.

Kinesis is actively exploring new avenues of value creation designed to enhance the KVT, with the strong potential to introduce additional value mechanisms to the KVT. These new value facilities expand well beyond what was ever envisaged in the Kinesis Blueprint and are designed to reward loyal KVT holders.

The future of the KVT’s utility

Looking ahead, Kinesis will be expanding the utility of the KVT, serving as an active key to the Kinesis ecosystem. As utility expands, KVT will be designed to unlock access to selected features, platform benefits, and deeper system integration.

This evolution will align KVT ownership with broader participation, positioning the token not only as an access point to a yield, but as the entry point into the future functionality of the Kinesis Monetary System.

How do I trade KVT?

More experienced users can trade KVTs with the professional trading interface of the Kinesis Exchange.

With its finite supply, direct yield entitlement, expanding value proposition within and beyond the KMS, the KVT stands apart as a foundational component of the ecosystem. As development continues, the token is being positioned to harness enhanced value, unlock broader utility, supporting deeper engagement and long-term participation across the Kinesis network.

With the KVT Yield currently at record levels, growing interest is expected from users across the industry. As a highly liquid asset, offering users access to a debt-free monthly yield, the KVT presents an innovative asset for portfolio diversification. As ever, increased user growth will directly impact the yields of all participants.

This is more than the launch of a tradable asset, it marks the next phase in how value, access, and participation are delivered within the Kinesis Monetary System.
