The Kinesis Mint, our certified independent precious metals mint and refinery, will manufacture the official House of Mandela collector coins in fine gold and silver.
For the House of Mandela, represented by Nelson Mandela’s daughter, Dr Pumla Makaziwe Mandela, and granddaughter, Tukwini Mandela, to entrust Kinesis with this responsibility is a great honour.
The inaugural coin of the series, the House of Mandela Coin, pays homage to the immortalised legacy and global impact of the former South African president and activist, Nelson Mandela.
The artistry of the House of Mandela Coin
With the exclusive rights to design and manufacture the commemorative coins, the team conceptualised the House of Mandela Coin.
The reverse of the bullion coin features the house totem symbol of the bee, with the wings resembling the many branches and strong, long-standing values of the Mandela family tree. The symbol holds additional significance as the literal translation of Nelson Mandela’s name, Rolihlahla.
Kinesis Mint bullion production
Based in Istanbul, Turkey, the 5,600 square-metre Kinesis Mint facility will produce the House of Mandela bullion collector coins.
Through the Kinesis Mint, Kinesis independently manufactures bullion available for retail and wholesale demand and the official Kinesis Bullion collection.
Recently achieving ISO certification, the Kinesis Mint has been recognised for the high quality of services and bullion products, with a minimum fineness of 9999, gold, and 999, silver. The appointment of the Kiness Mint by the House of Mandela is a testament to our reputation as a business and our commitment to bullion quality.
As part of the partnership, Dr Pumla Makaziwe Mandela and Tukwini Mandela will support Kinesis’ marketing to promote the collector coins, locally and internationally. The partnership with the Mandela family brings further recognition and visibility to the Kinesis Mint, Kinesis Bullion and the wider Kinesis product offering.
