Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity (DBRP) announces key partnerships to change the paradigm of development banking

Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity (DBRP) partners with Kinesis

Today, the Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity (DBRP), a dynamic and outcomes-driven multilateral development bank with a global scope, announced key partnerships with Kinesis, The University of the West Indies (UWI), the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and the PVBLIC Foundation at an event held in Kingston, Jamaica at the Headquarters of the University of the West Indies.

The DBRP is initially focused on supporting Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and empowering developing nations to leverage real-world natural assets to improve access to development financing, while providing innovative solutions to drive sustainable growth and resilience.

The launch event highlighted the magnitude of challenges faced by SIDS and presented innovative solutions for building resilient prosperity in developing nations. Dr Nekeisha Spencer, Senior Lecturer at UWI’s Department of Economics, shared key insights on the challenges facing SIDS, while the event was moderated by Professor David Tennant, Professor of Development Finance at UWI.

The DBRP represents a significant step forward in addressing the unique development challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS), combining traditional development finance approaches with innovative solutions to build lasting resilience and prosperity.
